Optimize M365 in a nutshell
- Analyzing actual usage
- Reviewing subscription assignment
- Providing usage insights
- Simplifying licensing complexity
- Revealing optimization opportunities
Optimize M365 offers three main pages
- Dashboard; providing a monitoring overview that will help you understand what’s happening with your cloud usage and spend,
- Optimized BOM; showing your optimized bill of material / shopping list.
- Usage Analysis; demonstrating what you can do to optimize your cloud costs
1. Dashboard
With the Dashboard we want to place you in the driver’s seat of controlling your cloud spend. In a comprehensive overview we give you a bird’s eye view of all the information you need to know. We quickly and clearly show you your usage details, specs on how much you are actually spending and what your cost saving opportunities are. We highlight the most important key figures and present them in such a way that you can easily keep track of your cost optimization performance. Furthermore, the ‘Spend Analysis over Time’ graph shows you the effects of any changes you might make in your M365 environment, therefor providing you with an indication of the actual savings induced by your optimizations over time. This will give you an idea of whether or not you’re ’doing a good job’ controlling cloud costs. The specific breakdowns provide a valuable insight into the potential for optimization per product and the differences between products, helping you to prioritize certain products for optimization. Finally, our optimization suggestions are presented per product as well as per cost-saving category. Don’t miss out on any relevant information. Focus, prioritize and optimize!
2. Optimized BOM (Bill of Material)
In the second page, the Optimized BOM (Bill Of Material), Optimize calculates the number of subscriptions you ideally need – meaning that you’d implement all the savings opportunities the tool has found for you. This provides insights into what your optimized bill of material will look like. In other words, how can you make better use of the acquired subscriptions (your value gap) and/or get rid of them (your savings potential)? This overview presents your potential ideal shopping list and what you would need to optimize first before reducing your number of subscriptions.

3. Usage Analysis
Now, after processing the information in the Dashboard and verifying your impact at the Optimized BOM page, you will want to dive deeper into the data to know exactly which actions will optimize your cloud costs. In order to do this, we present a Usage Analysis page – showing you all the underlying data in detail. The Usage Analysis provides a detailed overview of your cloud usage and shows the users that can be optimized per savings category, helping you to easily see which actions need to be taken in order to optimize your cloud environment.
Finally, in the remaining pages we present the flat data collected through the API connection that we will establish with your M365 environment. This flat data allows you to check user data and it helps you further understand the savings we have uncovered.
